Q: What is the largest capacity Compact Flash (CF) card I can use in the Fusion's CF slot? A: 2 Gigabytes. This is because the Fusion recognizes cards based on the FAT32 file system, which uses 2 gig partitions. You could use a larger card, but you will have to (1) format it for FAT32, and (2) partition it, making sure that one of the partitions is 2 gigabytes or less.
Q: How do I tell what software version my Fusion is running? A: I don't remember. Somebody edit this with a better answer, please.
Q: Does the Fusion Keyboard send aftertouch? A: Yes, both the Fusion 6HD and the Fusion 8HD keybeds send monophonic aftertouch (also called "channel pressure"). Sounds programed on the Fusion can be set to respond to either mono aftertouch or polyphonic aftertouch via MIDI.
Q: When you are using aftertouch as a modulator, can you have a sound that responds to both local mono aftertouch and MIDI polyphonic aftertouch? A: Yes, because I am clever. The secret is to create two identical aftertouch mod sources on the Fusion's copious mod list. One for mono, and one for MIDI poly aftertouch! Forethought when programming increases enjoyment when playing!
Q: What is the maximum name length for Program Bank names? A: 16 characters when using FUSIONSORT. Here are a couple forum postings about FUSIONSORT and the FUSIONSORT. Does the 16 character limit apply to banks created manually from a PC or the Fusion itself? It seems like I have banks with longer names than this. Someone please give us the benefit of your wisdom.
Q: How do I stop Patch A-3 "Piano & Analog Mood" from popping/clicking after moderate playing? A: Add a modulation route from env 3 to Volume, move it to the top of the list, and that solves the problem. Clamping the Volume makes sure the Fusion knows the voice is "off", and that it is OK to steal it.

Q: How do I set Pitch Bend Range? A: Select the large physical "Program" button to the left of the display. Under the Program tab and select "Pitch". "Pitch Bend Range" is halfway down the page.
Q: What if I want a different Pitch Bend Range up than I do down? For example, I would like to set my pitch bend to pitch down an octave, yet only pitch up one whole note. A:
1. In the Program tab, set up the Pitch Bend Range to 0 Semitones.
2. In the Mod tab, add a new modulation route. Set up the Source to
Controller - Pitch Wheel and the Destination to Pitch, Type: Additive,
Amount: +12.00% (1 octave)
3. Click on Shape > New Table. Go down to EDIT Breakpoint: Point 3, set the Point Value to +17.
